An Upper West Side teenager has been missing for weeks, police announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Andrew Ahtay, 16, was last seen leaving his building at 210 West 64th Street, between West End and Amsterdam Avenues, around 7 a.m. on Monday, May 5, police said.
He has a thin build, brown eyes, and black hair, according to NYPD, who did not immediately provide his exact height and weight.
Ahtay was also reported missing from the same Upper West Side home in 2020 as a 10-year-old, before being found, according to past reports.
Anyone with information regarding this situation is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).

The system failed this kid, I hope he is ok.
I had the same concern – he ran away before from the same address at the age of 10…
I hope it’s just that he’s developmentally disabled in some way and wanders, but what appears to be a shocking delay in notifying the police this time (unless they didn’t take it seriously, which is certainly possible) doesn’t speak well for the home situation.
Ran away? Didn’t see that in this article or the one referenced.
System? What system? Regardless, I also hope he’s OK.
In response to @OPOD: Because of being missing since May 5, or for some other reason not mentioned in the article?
