Living-Wage Cleaning Company Well-Paid Maids Reflects on Top Wins of 2024

2024 was a big year for Well-Paid Maids with a number of bucket list accomplishments.

To start, we are the only certified living-wage cleaning company in the area. That means we pay our cleaners, who are W-2 employees, at least $27 an hour and offer benefits, like health insurance, 24 paid days off per year and more.

This has been our mission from our start in 2017 — but we count this as a massive win year after year.

Here’s a look back at some of our other accomplishments this year:

  • In March, we introduced our weekend service in D.C.
  • In June, we celebrated our seven-year anniversary.
  • In August, we were voted Best Maid Service in D.C. for the fourth consecutive year.
  • In September, we opened our Chicago branch.
  • In October, Maryland’s new Pay Transparency Act went into effect, a policy we have proudly supported.

None of this would be possible without your support! Thank you for another great year. We can’t wait to see what the new year has in store.

In the meantime, get a head start on your 2025 cleaning resolutions. When you schedule recurring cleanings, you’ll get a discount!

Book today.

Our primary goal is to create a safe and respectful space where a broad spectrum of voices can be heard. We welcome diverse viewpoints and encourage readers to engage critically with one another’s ideas, but never at the expense of civility. Disagreement is expected—even encouraged—but it must be expressed with care and consideration. Comments that take cheap shots, escalate conflict, or veer into ideological warfare detract from the constructive spirit we aim to cultivate.
