Teamwork and Time Off: Why Eliana Loves Working at Well-Paid Maids

Eliana joined Well-Paid Maids in June 2024 and has quickly become one of the most requested cleaners!

“I had a huge loss in April, so I just wanted to get back up on my feet,” she said. “Lexi, one of our operations managers, greeted me and won me over as soon as I walked in for my interview.”

Well-Paid Maids pays cleaners (who are W-2 employees) at least $26 an hour in D.C. where Eliana is based. (Here in NYC, the starting wage is $27 an hour.) Cleaners also get access to insurance, 24 paid days off per year and more.

For Eliana, access to health insurance was a huge draw, and she loves being able to take time off. So far, she’s taken two vacations, and she was also able to spend time with her mom after a surgery. “Pretty amazing!” she said.

When asked how Well-Paid Maids stands out from her previous work experience, the answer is simple: teamwork.

“I can say we really do work as a team,” she said. “I don’t know half of my co-workers personally, but we cover for each other, and if we need ANY help Lexi, Karen or Dasha, our operations managers, are always there for us.”
