Exciting News From D.C.: Well-Paid Maids Won Best Maid Service

Well-Paid Maids received some exciting news last week from our D.C. office. We were voted the best maid service in Washington City Paper’s annual Best of D.C. contest!

This is our fourth consecutive year — and fifth year all together — snagging the No. 1 spot. We feel incredibly proud of our team and very thankful for our loyal clients!

We stand out from the pack because we are committed to treating our cleaners with the dignity they deserve. That means classifying them fairly as W-2 employees and paying them a living wage of at least $27 an hour in New York City. For context, the mean hourly wage for cleaners is only $15.35, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Plus, our employees get benefits, including health, dental, vision and life insurance; 24 paid days off per year; 100% employer-paid commuting costs; and more.

In turn, you get a sparkling clean home!

New Yorkers: See for yourself why we were voted the best maid service down in D.C. Schedule a cleaning today.

Disagreement is expected—even encouraged—but it must be expressed with care and consideration. Comments that take cheap shots, escalate conflict, or veer into ideological warfare detract from the constructive spirit we aim to cultivate.
