Pupper West Side Adoption Edition: Cooper Is The Perfect Gentleman With A Tuxedo to Match

This week we are excited to share the tale of an adorable adoptable – Cooper – who is searching for his forever home through Badass Animal Rescue.

Hello! My name is Cooper and I’m a 2.5 year old super mutt looking for my forever home. The sad truth is, I’ve been waiting patiently for my forever family for more than a year! So, I’m holding a good thought that someone will want to adopt me soon. My foster mom describes me as the perfect gentleman because I like to sit with my paws crossed daintily. See?

Ever the gentleman at an adoption event wearing my “adopt me” coat and gentle leader halter.

And speaking of gentlemanly presentation, my regal posture, glossy black coat, and white tummy have been known to give the impression that I’m dressed to the nines in a tuxedo and on my way to a classy soirée. And the little patch of white hair alongside my nose is my signature milk mustache – it’s a bit askew and looks as if I could only stick half my nose into a glass of ice cold milk to get a drink.

Striking a regal pose in my“tuxedo” and serving James Bond vibes.

Our daily routine starts with a long morning walk followed by a nutritious breakfast. I’m an intelligent pup and a quick study, so I enjoy working with my foster mom on training each day to support my brain stimulation and mental acuity. I love solving treat puzzles – so much so that I’ve become a wiz at them! I’ve mastered several commands including sit and stay as well as the “place” command through which dogs like me learn how to relax in a specific spot. I’m house-trained and sociable with other pups. The Badass Animal Rescue team thinks I would do well as a family’s solo pup or in a household with a dog sibling(s).

I love to socialize with other pups and would do well as the only dog in a household or with a canine sibling(s).

Sometimes, I’ll be so excited to meet other canine friends that I’ll get a big jumpy and bound toward them, so I’m working on learning how to relax and contain some of that young pup energy. I’m a social butterfly and absolutely love meeting people as well. The Badass Animal Rescue think I would do best with a forever family that is focused on supporting my training in order to set up me up for long-term success and happiness. When it comes to being outside, I enjoy exploring the great outdoors and would be delighted to find a family who enjoys long walks and perhaps some hiking. In fact, my foster mom and I went hiking upstate and I’m dying to return to explore more trails. After a long day of adventures, there’s nothing I enjoy more than some well-deserved head and neck scratches, followed by a long snooze in my bed or on an obliging lap.

Curling up with my foster mom for a lap nap.

What a regal fellow, Cooper is. Thank you to his committed and loving foster mom and to the West Side Rag for featuring pups in need of their forever homes. Hoping Cooper finds his ideal one soon.

I love a man in a tux. I couldn’t possibly be the only one. Please someone give him his forever home. I live in Morongo Valley, Calif (near Pioneertown,). It’s a long ride to pick Cooper up. He’s divine. Catherine

Look at that gaze Cooper has! The person looking into those eyes will be quite lucky!

What a beautiful fur baby! If I didn’t have 2 cats, I’d adopt him.

Hope Cooper finds a loving forever home.
