Upper West Side Community Gala & Auction to Benefit the Children of PS 84; May 13th

An Upper West Side Community Gala & Auction will take place Saturday, May 13th, from 7:00 p.m – 10:30 p.m. at the Redeemer Loft & Roof Terrace at 150 West 83rd Street. It is meant to be a celebration of the community and an opportunity to support PS 84, The Lillian Weber School of the Arts. The event welcomes people from outside the school as well, and tickets are on sale now at www.ps84gala.org.

The celebration will be featuring singer Michael W. Harley, the Lion King’s Broadway star; Jelani Remy; and a dance party with Olivier Ferlay AkA DJ Mak-Len + his son Damian Ferlay AkA DJ Damian San.

The evening will also include a wine raffle, live and silent auctions, featuring prizes like a private tour of the Met; a two-night stay at luxury NYC hotel; two tickets to a hit Broadway show; dinner for four at Gotham restaurant (gothambarandgrill.com) with wine pairing; and much more. The Gala will include passed and stationed hors d’oeuvres, desserts, and an open bar and dancing.

PS 84, The Lillian Weber School of the Arts is an Upper West Side elementary school (3K, pre-K, and K-5) serving a diverse community, that features Computer Science Media Arts, Spanish, and French dual-language programs on every grade level from K-5— it is the only Manhattan school with all three offerings. The Gala and Auction are the most important fundraising events of the year for PS 84, and proceeds support teaching assistants (K-2nd grade); math and reading coaches; a librarian and library supplies; recess aides and enrichment; a garden teacher and garden supplies; classroom technology; nursing supplies and health programs; and wellness education.
