Central Park’s Wollman Rink is offering discounted tickets all day tomorrow, March 31st, from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, it was announced in a press release.
To celebrate the success of the rink and thank New Yorkers for a fantastic season—the rink is offering their Wollman Rink Access Program (WRAP) to everyone all day tomorrow, March 31st, the final day of skating until next winter!
Guests will have the opportunity to skate for only $14, enjoy signature drinks for purchase in Wollman’s rink side Hot Toddy Tent, eat delicious food from Melba’s Restaurant, and watch various performers on ice. Tickets can be purchased here.
Many New Yorkers have already benefited from Wollman Rink’s WRAP tickets this year—each month WRAP tickets are distributed at the box office, on a first come, first served basis, in conjunction with IDNYC, New York Public Library (NYPL), and community partners Figure Skating in Harlem, Ice Hockey in Harlem, Green City Force, The Boys’ Club of New York and the YMCA of Greater New York. WRAP tickets cost $14 each and include admission, skate rental and a hot chocolate.
But tomorrow, Wollman Rink is making an exception and everyone will be able to celebrate the last day to skate for only $14.
Wollman Rink is located at 830 5th Avenue, at the southern end of Central Park.
I’m confused. Aren’t the tickets always $14? It might be that tomorrow they are offering free skate rental with admission. Otherwise if you have your own skates, it is the same price?
Bryant Park is free, albeit it closed for the season on March 6th.
World Ice (Flushing), $7 weekday days. Open all year, also in a City Park + convenient to a big (not giant) Home Depot.
I guess $14 is cheaper than $20 for 50 minutes of public skating at Chelsea Piers’ Sky Rink.
