A special one-day-only Sweet, Hot & Spicy Pop-up will take place on Sunday, February 27th, at Grand Bazaar NYC (W. 77th Street and Columbus Avenue) from 10am – 5pm, a press release announced. Admission is free.

“Visitors can get an endorphin rush from the over 20 artisanal food vendors that are spicing and sweetening up the “mid-winter” blues. Some of the participating food vendors in this year’s Sweet, Hot & Spicy Pop-up include Jamaican heat from Treat YourSelf Jerk, addictive Korean corn dogs from ClubDog, burning Indian curries from Mysttik Masaala, hot Taiwanese popcorn chicken and fish from Taiwanese Yummy, fiery empanadas from Empanada Papa, handcrafted in small-batches artisanal hot sauces from Hattwood Hot Sauce, and bold Brooklyn-made hot sauces from Cantina Royal. On the sweet side, there will be The Boiis with handcrafted mochi stuffed dessert bites, Althea’s Tropical Delights bringing cakes with the sweet taste of the Caribbean, BITE’s creative artisanal mini donuts, Culiraw with full-flavor and decadent raw vegan cakes, and Broma’s protein-packed and flavored almond + lentil + chocolate butter spreads.

In addition, visitors can explore and shop from over 70 independent artists, designers, and vintage dealers.

“Grand Bazaar NYC was created to provide funding to four Upper West Side public schools and to support small independent local merchants and entrepreneurs. Every time a vendor commits to selling their goods at the market, the schools PS 87, The Computer School, PS 334, and M.S. M247 Dual Language Middle School benefit. 100% of the net profits from the rental of a booth benefit over 2,000 public school children by providing them with much-needed school supplies, books, art enrichment, and sports programs.”
