A 26-year-old woman allegedly stabbed a 48-year-old man as he entered 788 Columbus Avenue [98th St.] around 7:08 p.m. Tuesday evening, an NYPD spokesperson told WSR.
The weapon was believed to be similar to a “small pocket knife,” and the man suffered a laceration causing bleeding on the right side of his head. The victim received two stitches at an area hospital, NYPD said.
About two hours following the incident, police arrested Milan Lee, 26, at the same Park West Village apartment building, NYPD said, noting the victim and alleged assailant may have known each other.
Police have charged Lee with second-degree assault and criminal possession of a weapon, NYPD said.
