The corner near Peacefood Cafe was anything but peaceful Tuesday night around 9:50 pm. According to an NYPD spokesperson, a dispute broke out at 200 W. 82nd Street [Amsterdam Ave] between three men who “may be known to each other,” leading one man to stab the other two before fleeing the scene.

Injured were a 44-year-old delivery bicyclist who suffered a slash to his left bicep and his 20-year-old friend who was stabbed in the left side of his torso. EMTs transported both victims to Mount Sinai Morningside [St. Luke’s] Hospital in stable condition, NYPD said.

The incident remains under investigation, but the NYPD spokesperson said it was “not a random attack.”
