1st graders Devin and Maya check out the New York sculpture.

Winter ain’t going anywhere, and some New Yorkers are embracing it fully. Jonathan and Dorota Cooper and their son built this homage to the city out of ice on the Great Lawn in Central Park, and it’s becoming an Instagram-worthy gathering spot for city-dwellers.

“They have created igloos and animal sculptures along the uws in Central Park but this one created Saturday had people clamoring to post to their Social media with the New York snow sculpture,” wrote Elyssa Shapiro, who sent the photos above an below.

Went looking for this today. Walked the perimeter of the Great Lawn and didn’t see it. Was it knocked down?! Where exactly is/was it?

I miss New York! Here we sit in Germany, 8 miles from BionTech and we can’t get vaccinated unless we’re 80+ years old.
Well, at my age, it feels good to know I’m too young for some things…
