A fire in a rowhouse at 54 West 75th Street between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West on Tuesday morning escalated to a third alarm, drawing 138 firefighters to the scene. One person was reported injured and was being treated at the scene, according to FDNY. The injured person was a firefighter, according to another firefighter on the scene.
The fire was called in at 10:45 a.m. It was not immediately clear how it started.

You would not make that comment if you had seen the video taken from the back of the building. It is horrifying. I live across the street and these are my neighbors, who were effected. And to question the protocols of the FDNY? Viewing this video taught me how well trained they are—warriors in battle—very few men can fill their shoes—and that’s all I have to say to you.
