Cedric Bennett, 44, was found shot to death underneath the lobby stairwell of 70 Amsterdam Avenue, within the Amsterdam Houses, on Wednesday night around 9 p.m., according to an NYPD spokesperson.

Bennett was shot “multiple times about the body,” and, according to ABC7, was found with “a knife in his hand.” EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to Mount Sinai West Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
