Police Ask for Help Finding 3 Suspects in Central Park Mugging

Police are looking for three men who they say mugged a couple walking in Central Park last week.

It was reported to police that on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at approximately 2150 hours, a 69-year-old male victim and a 56-year-old female victim entered Central Park at 6th Avenue and continued walking northbound along the path towards 59th Street. Three individuals approach the male from behind and demand his property.  The victim complied and gave his wallet. The individuals then pushed the victim and fled the location with the wallet. The wallet contained various credit cards and $120.

Individual #1 is described as a male White or Hispanic, approximately 20-years-old; last seen wearing a black sweater and a black hat.

Individual #2 & #3 are described as males; last seen wearing hooded sweat shirts.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
