Searching For A Music School In The Upper West Side? Look No Further Than Your Own Front Door

It’s no secret that Upper West Siders have an appreciation for the arts. New York is well known for being the flagship for performance, with many music schools and institutes centered around learning proper artistic techniques. If you’re searching for a school that will cater to your busy New Yorker schedule, has some of the most intelligent and experienced teachers, and can accommodate your desire to learn while constructing a plan to achieve your performance goals, look no further than your own front door – or your laptop and good Wi-Fi connection – by utilizing New York City’s own Music To Your Home.

Music to your Home is a music school made for busy New Yorkers who want to try something new; especially those interested in doing so from the comfort of their own home. They offer both local and online lessons in various musical subjects, some of which include voice, piano, guitar, bass, and violin lessons. They are able to come directly to your residence to provide you with a comfortable setting, and they cover various genres of music from jazz and classical to rock and pop.

The school provides lessons for children and adults of all ages, with students ranging from 3 years to 73 years. Taught by some of the best teachers in the area, their lessons work to train students in the necessary skills while instilling an element of fun to inspire and encourage. The instructors are committed to helping students with their next audition – for college, a talent show, or even Broadway – in addition to preparing for Music To Your Home’s very own featured recitals.

Music To Your Home is very committed to student satisfaction – they promise that if your lessons are not satisfactory or if the instructor is not working for you, they will work to find the right teacher, while also returning any unused payments. There are no contracts or obligations to stay with a certain instructor, or even to continue with the same instrument if your taste changes. The freedom to find yourself musically is completely in your hands. Not many music schools can offer that!

At its core, Music To Your Home is a family-run and a family-oriented business, understanding the desire for you (or your children) to have the very best experience. Vincent Reina started the school in 2003 with his wife, Tracy. To provide the best possible service, they take time to interview every single teacher and specifically look for teachers that can work well not just with instructing, but in guiding their students on their musical journey.

In fact, the Reinas are even teachers themselves. Tracy studied opera and music business at The Crane School of Music and provides voice lessons, and Vincent has been teaching piano since he was in high school, receiving his degree in Piano Performance from

Purchase Conservatory. He’s also proficient in guitar, drums, bass, violin – and any other instrument that he gets the opportunity to play – so there’s no shortage of musical talent here.

Vincent believes that “The student’s comfort level is of the utmost importance. For a student to learn and learn well, that student has to have a passion for their instrument or subject, as well as an instructor that works well with their learning style. This is why it’s easier to come to the student in the comfort of their own home to teach, rather than have the student come to a studio.”  He also added that the school will strive to work hard to cater to your schedule, realizing that the life of New Yorkers can be quite hectic.

This music school even offers help with finding “your” instrument. The instructors will work with you to find the instrument that works best for you and they will help you to choose materials. Their goal is to allow you to concentrate on the lessons themselves.

If you haven’t tried a lesson with Music To Your Home yet, now is the time. In fact, Music To Your Home is currently offering 50% off of your first in-home lesson! Just mention “West Side Rag” to claim the offer.

Given its incredibly convenient location for Upper West Siders and the ability to schedule an in-person lesson or practice right from your own home with an online instructor, music lessons have never been more convenient. With the high caliber of teachers, music subjects, and Music To Your Home’s promise to give the best quality tools, techniques, and instruction, there’s no reason to wait to start learning that new instrument or training your voice for the stage.
