Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Filming Shots: Lookie Here, It’s Susie Myerson!

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel was filming on the UWS on Friday and Upper West Sider Erica Riba got to see one of the hit show’s top actresses — talent agent Susie Myerson, played by Alex Borstein, was on set and smiled for the camera.

They were also shooting at the old Artie’s Deli again on Broadway and 83rd.

I walked by this morning and there was still some equipment there, as well as a lot of trash in bags that were several lanes into Broadway.

And it looked like the homeless people who normally reside in front of Artie’s had relocated to the front of an empty store just south of Artie’s.

Lovely scaffolding. As with most New York City location shots these days. Sad.

But. Love Mrs. Maisel & Alex.

Thank you for using one my four photo submissions at the end of filming on Friday. Living on West 83rd Street, it is always exciting to see the cast of Marvelous Mrs. Maisel return and the film crew work their magic. Looking forward to the next season. P.S. My husband, Doug, and I continue to miss going to Artes for one of their famous sandwiches!

When there’s no filming, the space is a *home* for the homeless sisters who’ve been a fixture under most scaffoldings here for years. Someone needs to do a story on them. One seems to be heavily pregnant. They have the latest model phones and tablets. Someone told me that they come from money and are mentally ill.

IDK, I walked by there on Sunday and it looked like a homeless encampment.
