Police sent out the photos above and below, in hopes that the public can help them identify the man who they say robbed a woman on Amsterdam and 89th Street. Below, read the police description of the event.
It was reported to police that on Saturday April 6, 2019, at approximately 0130 hours, in the vicinity of Amsterdam Avenue and 89 Street, the individual approached the 29-year-old female victim from behind, shoved her to the pavement and took her purse. The victim suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. Among the items inside her purse were $50 in cash and 3 credit cards. The individual fled the scene on foot and was last seen inside of the 86 Street “1” line subway station.
The individual is described as a male, black, 30 to 40 years old, 5’10”, 180lbs; last seen wearing a blue jacket, light colored jeans and he had a black backpack.
