Mrs. Maisel Returns to the UWS for Filming Next Week

Mrs. Maisel at Dublin House.

Mrs. Maisel may have spent much of Season 2 of the award-winning Amazon show The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel in the Catskills, but the show hasn’t abandoned the Upper West Side. It looks like at least part of Season 3 will be shot in the neighborhood as signs recently went up warning people that they’ll be filming next week.

On Wednesday, signs were posted on West End Avenue between 83rd and 84th and on 83rd between West End and Broadway. There are also signs along Broadway in the 80’s, Ben Bell tells us.

So move your cars by Tuesday night, and send us photos of cool vintage stuff if you see any!

Check out our stories on how a Mrs. Maisel scene brought new customers to a classic UWS bar and the actor from the show who likes to hang out at a local hardware store.

Thanks to Joel Siegel for the photo of the sign.

Do you use non-union extras and, if yes, who is the casting agency involved?

I’d love to watch them filming! Do you think that’s possible if they’re filming outdoors?

As a native New Yorker from the UWS, I grew up within that time period.
Don’t miss the congestion and high prices though.

Annoying news. I love Mrs Maisel, great show. But as someone who parks on the street, production companies represent a huge hassle in a city full of them. And what do we get for it? Nada. The city makes big bucks but all we as residents-with-cars get is more stress and more time spent dealing with parking. Would love to have the neighborhood become a film production free zone.

And then I’m sure you will be the first to complain when your taxes go up. If they were constantly here, I would understand your complain, but for them to come in occasionally, showcase the neighborhood, pay some fees that support the city and create some jobs, I am all for it.

And I would say that even if I wasn’t a huge fan of the show.

I stopped by today and saw Rachel Brosnahan outside drinking coffee. I said hi and she couldn’t have been nicer, but she told me she’s not allowed to take pictures while she’s in costume.
