A word of warning if you’re out and about on the UWS this weekend: the 20th precinct said on Friday night that thieves had hit two bars on Amsterdam Avenue in the precinct (59th to 86th Street).
“In the last 2 hours, four perps (young men) wearing hooded sweatshirts entered 2 different bars on Amsterdam Ave & stole a combined 3 purses off of the backs of chairs. They may still be around & we are searching for them. If you are in a bar, GUARD YOUR PROPERTY.”
