The Upper West Side goes big for Halloween. Here are some events and trick or treating spots.

Sunday October 28

The Central Park Conservancy will host its annual pumpkin flotilla at the Charles Dana Discovery Center near 110th and the Harlem Meer. “Enjoy pumpkin carving, Halloween crafts, spooky stories, a costume parade, and most of all the Conservancy’s signature Pumpkin Flotilla, which sets sail across the Harlem Meer at twilight!” More here.

Monday, October 29
Frightdays at Bloomingdale Library
4 p.m.
“Share and listen to spooky stories with your friends, just in time for Halloween.” For teens. More here.

Tuesday, October 30
Frankenstein Birthday Bash at St. Agnes Library

“Frankenstein is turning 200 years old! To celebrate, we’re throwing a monster celebration with treats, crafts, and groovy tunes. Don’t forget your costume!” For kids 4-7. More here.

Wednesday, October 31
Hippo Playground Parade

The parade will start at the Soldier’s and Sailors Monument at 89th and Riverside Drive and head to the playground below, where there will be muffins and musical performance by Esther Crow. More here.

St. Paul and St. Andrew Haunted Church
6 to 8 p.m.
The church at 86th and West End will have a kid-friendly haunted church and trick or treating. More here.

Trick or Treating
The following blocks tend to be blocked off for trick or treating, though it can get quite crowded.

West 69th Street between Broadway and Central Park West.

West 78th Street between Columbus & Amsterdam (we initially said 79th, incorrectly).

West 87th Street between West End and Riverside.

West 90th Street between Columbus and Central Park West.

West 95th Street between Columbus and Central Park West.
