The Off-Broadway Comedy ‘My Parsifal Conductor’ Is Playing Locally; How to Get Discounted Tickets

Set in the gothic splendor of 19th Century Germany, revered composer Richard Wagner (Eddie Korbich) has completed his new masterpiece, Parsifal.  When Hermann Levi (Geoffrey Cantor), the acclaimed Jewish conductor of the King’s royal orchestra is chosen to conduct this Christian opera, the Wagners are dumbfounded and resort to committing ludicrous acts to maintain the purity of Parsifal; acts that will come back to haunt them later.

In this comedic spin on real-life events, My Parsifal Conductor chronicles the life of Cosima Wagner (Claire Brownell) as she seeks absolution for a life of manipulation. Tormented by a kaleidoscope of disturbing dreams and visits from figures from her past, Cosima’s futile attempts to score a spot in heaven reaches a deafening crescendo. Can past transgressions be forgiven, or will this matriarch of madness be forced to face the music?

Written by multiple EMMY winner, Allan Leicht, My Parsifal Conductor attempts to open eyes, hearts and minds to outdated, prejudicial and ridiculous behavior while posing the compelling question: “Does the artist make history or does the history make the artist?”

Be part of this masterpiece. Visit www.myparsifalconductor.com and use code MPCMKT to receive $32 tickets, or call (866) 811-4111 or visit the Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater at the West Side YMCA at 10 West 64th Street to cement your place in the celestial court.  Performances Tue, Wed, Thurs at 7:30pm, Fri at 8pm, Sat at 2pm & 8pm, Sun at 3pm.  Now playing through Nov 3 only!
