Free Outdoor ‘Overlook’ Concerts Start Sunday in Riverside Park

Starting Sunday, April 22 (today), the Riverside Park Conservancy will hold free concerts on Sundays at 2 p.m. in the park at 116th street, overlooking the Hudson River.

The full schedule is below.

April 22    French Cookin’ Blues Band, David “Doc” French, Leader – This Blues Hall of Fame band plays authentic Blues from around the country for a special New York Sound.

April 29  Columbia Wind Ensemble, Jason Noble, Leader – A big band of 50 brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments plays rousing music from the Renaissance to the present.

May 6  Manhattan School of Music Jazz Quintet – These fine musicians play the best of jazz standards in their own incomparable style.
