Police are looking for five individuals who they say robbed a 74-year-old man in front of 21 West End Avenue at 61st Street on March 17. The description of the crime and the suspects is below, along with video and surveillance photos of the suspects.
It was reported to police that on Saturday March 17, 2018, at approximately 2220 hours, in front of 21 West End Avenue, a male approached the 74-year-old male victim and asked to use his cell phone. When the victim told him no, four more individuals surrounded him and one of them, a male, demanded the cell phone and his wallet. That same individual punched the victim in the face and took his wallet. All five of the individuals fled southbound on West End Avenue. Among the items inside the victim’s wallet were 2 credit cards, $75 in cash and an MTA Metrocard. On March 18, 2018, in the vicinity of Farmers Boulevard and 112 Avenue (confines of the 113 Pct.), at approximately 0633 hours, one of the individuals, a female, used the victim’s Metrocard on an MTA bus.
The first individual (pictured) is a female, black; last seen wearing a gray and purple baseball cap, a gray hooded sweater, a red shirt, green pants and blue sneakers.
The second individual is a male, black; last seen wearing a black hooded sweater.
The third individual is a male, black; last seen wearing a camouflaged hooded sweater.
The fourth individual is a female, black, with a large Afro; last seen wearing a blue jacket and gray pants.
The fifth individual is a female, black; last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and black and white sneakers.
