The 102nd-103rd Street Block Association Yard Sale is coming up next month, and they’re looking for vendors. This yard sale is a major event, with dozens of booths, and it’s a great way to make some money from your spring cleaning.
News:
Townhouse sales boomed on the Upper West Side in the first quarter. “The report showed most neighborhoods saw declines across the board, but on the Upper West Side, sales volume jumped 88 percent year-over-year to hit almost $119 million. The average sale price was almost $8.5 million, a 35 percent jump on the same time last year.”
Local celeb Jessica Seinfeld’s top pizza spot is Numero 28. “We walk in Central Park, often after dinner. We love to try pizza places, all over the five boroughs — Numero 28 Pizzeria is my favorite local pizza joint and luckily for everyone, they have a few locations in NYC. We also see what’s new on Broadway.”
Demi Moore reportedly sold her UWS home for $45 million — which was actually $30 million less than the original asking price.
A UWS guidance counselor was fired: “A Manhattan high-school guidance counselor under investigation for an alleged sexual relationship with a student was fired after the girl was seen wearing a gold ring he had bought.”
After a neighbor died, an Upper West Side writer reflected on their relationship. “It made me a little sad, how little I knew of the person who’d lived next door to me for more than six years.”
Ms. Seinfeld has good taste! Numero 28 is one of our favorites as well. Delicious eats, friendly service, and outdoor seating. Great for a date or for families. Although I’m not sure what she’s seeing that’s “new on Broadway” except for empty storefronts.
“We walk in Central Park, often after dinner. We love to try pizza places, all over the five boroughs”, says Mrs. Seinfeld.
Those are some pretty long after-dinner walks! No wonder they eat pizza after dinner.
“What’s the deal with after-dinner walks, anyway?”
Good catch, Cato!
BTW, I have never heard of these pizza places. I can’t find any good pizza anymore, so thanks, anyway, despite…)
I like Traviata Pizzeria on 69 St
between Broadway and Columbus.
Very small place, but a great
variety of toppings.
Now I’ve probably spoiled it.
It was a precious area secret.
But I think it is better than
any other place in Manhattan.
Of course for the best
pizza you still have to go
to Italian neighborhoods
in the Bronx and Brooklyn.
I like their pizza but the family that runs it is remarkably unfriendly.
I love La Traviata, too, but it’s on 68th Street between B’way and Columbus.
