Join the New Moms Group at the JCC. Meet other moms and babies aged birth to 5 months to make friends, share your experiences, and support one another in the early days of motherhood. The group will explore topics such as the development of maternal identity, infant attachment and bonding, postpartum mood and self-care, partner relationships, and returning to work. The last 30 minutes is reserved for parents to connect following a facilitated session.
Led by Pria Alpern, PhD, a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in maternal mental health, and a mother of two.
The sessions run for six Fridays from March 3 to April 7, from 10-11:30 am. They are held at the JCC, 334 Amsterdam Avenue (76th Street). The price is $180 for members, and $210 for non-members.
