VANDALS THROW HARD OBJECTS THROUGH BROOKS BROTHERS, LULULEMON STORE WINDOWS

Vandals threw rocks through the windows of the Brooks Brothers and Lululemon stores in Lincoln Square early Monday. They also apparently smashed a clock in Dante Park on 63rd where Columbus Avenue and Broadway cross.

Someone threw “an object” (probably a rock) through the front window at Brooks Brothers on Broadway and 65th Street around 4:30 a.m. on Monday, smashing it but stealing nothing, said Shawn Tumpney, the store manager.

The window at Lululemon on Broadway between 64th and 65th was broken in similar fashion, said Nycala Benson, evening store manager.

The Movado clock in Dante Park and a window in a building on Central Park West were also apparently smashed, Tumpney said. Tumpney called it “senseless vandalism,” and said a police report was filed. Both stores now have wooden boards up.

Police tell us they are investigating the incidents.

Actually, the police suspect the spill-over crowd from the Metropolitan Opera.

Was waiting for the De Blasio attack. How about “If only we had stop and frisk, they would never have had, um, rocks”? You know the “it’s all De Blasio’s fault and there was no crime before he came along” posts are really silly, right?

Hmmm…as the FBI’s B.A.U. on “Criminal Minds” (Go, J.J. !!) might surmise:

rock through Brooks Brothers = an UNSUB who dresses sloppy;

rock through LuluLemon window = an UNSUB who hates seeing overweight women in Spandex;

smashed clock-face = an UNSUB, probably a senior-citizen, hating the way time flies.

Always hilarious to read the latest “it’s all de Blasio’s fault” comment. Questions for moe: are you sure that the vandals throwing rocks through those windows wasn’t the fault of David Dinkins? Or Abe Beame? Or “Gentleman Jimmy” Walker?

All we know for sure is that the throwing of those rocks wasn’t the fault of Rudy Giuliani. Rudy wasn’t there; he was busy fawning over Donald Trump and throwing rocks at Hillary Clinton.

Of course not, HRC does nothing wrong or illegal other than…get people killed (Benghazi), launder money & buy influence (Clinton Foundation), bully woman victims of her rapist husband and jeopardize the security of our country (insecure emails)…what an upstanding woman!

de blasio could care less to focus on this kind of crime and the criminals KNOW it – that is the difference that your dopes fail to realize.

There are always a ton of people in this area. I don’t understand how nobody saw this happening or called the police.

Remember when crime never, ever happened under previous mayors? Oh, wait….

I don’t understand the relationship between who sits in the mayor’s office and having rowdy idiots throw rocks through windows. The former changes every few years and the latter unfortunately happens every so often. That’s why we have the police to find the hoodlums who did this. Nobody can stop something like this before it happens.

This is disturbing and indicates no one is actually watching. We only have the illusion we can depend on civil society.

Again, it was 4:30 in the morning on a weekday.

Lincoln Square isn’t exactly teeming at that hour.
