Metropolitan Window Fashions, located at 469 Amsterdam Avenue between 82nd and 83rd Street, has opened an exclusive Hunter Douglas Window Fashions Gallery with an expanded display of custom and motorized shades, blinds, sheers, shutters and draperies. Included are full-size functional window treatments highlighting PowerView, the newest APP for automated technology from Hunter Douglas which allows customers to use their smartphone or tablet to control the shades and blinds from inside or outside their home.

To celebrate this Grand Opening, owners Bruce and Margaret Heyman are putting the entire collection of custom motorized shades and blinds on sale through the end of the year. They are offering up to $200 off select styles along with free remote controls with a minimum purchase of two motorized shades. Additionally, this Upper West Side shop allows its customers to exchange their Hunter Douglas purchase if they are not completely satisfied – and also provides free repair service on these window treatments for up to seven years

Serving its Upper West Side clientele since 2004, the store offers a free Shop-At-Home decorating service. “We have a great team who are highly trained to provide solutions to all your window fashion and furniture re-upholstery needs,” says Bruce Heyman. “Our design specialist comes to your home with products, fabrics, styles and colors – and makes recommendations based on the proportion, scale, light and privacy of your room. It’s a great convenience for busy people.”

Two other Metropolitan Window Fashions stores – in Paramus and North Plainfield, New Jersey – also house the Hunter Douglas Galleries. These independent family-owned home furnishings establishments have been in business for over 82 years – serving the tristate area with the finest in custom window treatments, fabrics and upholstery. For more information about the new Hunter Douglas Gallery, visit www.windowfashions.com, call 212-501-8282 or email shop@windowfashions.com.
