Want a taste of the French joie de vivre this summer? Look no further than our own backyard! In Cultural Discovery Afternoons, an exciting new summer program at the French Institute Alliance Française, you’ll find your own petit piece of France right here in New York.
Each day of this week-long program will feature a unique excursion or workshop to explore French culture. You will learn to make the perfect baguette with a Paris-trained pastry chef, visit the ateliers of French chocolate makers, or explore the work of great French artists at museums around the city. By the end of the week, you will have had your own mini French getaway, no plane ticket to Paris required.
Here’s a preview of some of the activities featured this summer:
- Guided visit of Degas and Dada exhibits at MoMA
- French chocolate tour
- Photography and drawing workshops with a professional French artist
- Bread-making with a Parisian pastry chef
- French wine tasting
- French theater workshop
- And much more!
