“curated content” is a nice way to say billboards that change every now and again.

The restaurants will not do very well not many people will not want to eat in a polluted tunnel under ground. When walking through that tunnel at night it smells of urine and smoke. Also the homeless and mentally disturbed will be lurking around the shops.

You don’t have to eat in the tunnel…. Plenty of grab and go choices to take to the Columbus Circle fountain benches or to Central Park – enjoy!

That fountain is where all the skaters go and get high, lots of drunks in hot weather(me included) and homeless love to bath in the water. Don’t get me wrong, I love it, but the gourmet luxury yuppies might not feel the same.

I wish them all good luck but I do hope the MTA figured out a way to stop the leaks/flooding in that passage. I saw the early iterations of construction and it did not bode well. Hope there is good insurance.

I’m just glad to have the passageway open again. I often use it while walking just to avoid traffic lights and congestion on the sidewalks. It negates having to cross 59th, 58th and 57th Streets with lights as well as crossing 8th Avenue.

Very skeptical that this will not result in major trash and rat problem….

Subways and stations are already filthy because folks routinely eat, spill and leave trash. (Today, spilled juice covered an entire seat section on the subway)

Also wondering, at what point is there saturation/cannibalization of shopping/food?
