PLANTS ARE FREAKING OUT IN THIS BALMY WEATHER; 75 DEGREES IN NOVEMBER?

A plant in bloom at 92nd street inside Riverside Park. It appears to be a flowering quince, says our tipster.

Plants don’t quite know what to do with themselves, with November temperatures rising into the 70’s, with the mercury hitting 75 on Friday.

Gayton Gomez sent in the photos above and below of plants that she says normally bloom in the spring.

“The balmy spring temperatures we’ve enjoyed lately have apparently confused some of the plants in Riverside Park.   I’m no botanist (so forgive me if I’ve misnamed the plants), but I’m certain that both of these plants generally bloom in early spring rather than in November.
