SUMMERTIME LINCOLN SQUARE CONCERTS START WEDNESDAY

The MTA and the Lincoln Square BID are bringing free concerts to Richard Tucker Park at 66th street and Broadway every Wednesday this summer starting on July 1.

The Free Lunchtime Summer Concert Series, which begins on Wednesday, July 1 at Richard Tucker Park at noon, promises performances from talented musicians, some new and some old favorites, sure to please any locals, visitors, or music enthusiasts. The variety of genres includes American Jazz, R&B, Classical, Mariachi, Funk, and more.

The concert series at Richard Tucker Park will be held every Wednesday from July 1 until August 26, from Noon until 2:00 p.m. at Broadway and 66th Street.

Summer 2015 Lineup:

July 1 – Celebrating American R&B and Jazz

12:00- 1:00 – YAZ BAND
1:00-2:00 – Alex LoDico Ensemble

July 8 – Going South…Cumbia & Mariachi 

12:00- 1:00 – Viva Vallenato Badass Accordion Band
1:00- 2:00 – Mariachi Flor de Toloache

July 15 – Zany Cartoons & Kazoos

12:00- 1:00 –  The Queens Cartoonists
1:00- 2:00 – Cousin Earth

July 22 – Gumbo, Stomp & Hot Brass

12:00- 1:00 – Lucky Chops
1:00- 2:00 – Underground Horns

July 29 – Classical Lunch

12:00- 1:00 –  West Village Quartet
1:00-2:00 – Utopian Winds

August 5 – Percussive Dancing to the Speakeasy

12:00- 1:00 – SisterMonk
1:00- 2:00 –   The Sunnyside Social Club

August 12 – Brighton Beach to the Baltics

12:00- 1:00 – Karikatura
1:00- 2:00 – Tipsy Oxcart

August 19 – Roots & Blues – Vipers to the Triple Crown

12:00- 1:00 – The Blue Vipers of Brooklyn
1:00- 2:00 – Rocky Jr & the Triple Crown Chicago Blues Band

August 26 – Celebrating Richard Tucker

12:00- 2:00 – Opera Collective

The 2015 Free Lunchtime Summer Concert Series is sponsored by TD Bank – America’s Most Convenient Bank. Through these live performances at Richard Tucker Park, we celebrate New York City’s diversity of music and cultures, and the great opera star, tenor Richard Tucker (1913-1975).

Refreshments provided by P.J. Clarke’s. Gentle stretch yoga during intermissions provided by the West Side YMCA.
