We have updates on several Upper West Side restaurant openings below. And frankly, they’re all making my mouth water a little.

Risoterria, the Italian restaurant coming to 78th street and Amsterdam Avenue in the former home of Westway Foods, plans to open on March 23. They’ll be serving risotto, sandwiches and pizza, among other dishes, with a large gluten-free menu. Check out their Bleecker street menu (pdf). Thanks to Roxann for the tip.

BONMi, a Vietnamese restaurant plans to open next Thursday at 150 West 62nd street, which is inside Fordham Law School’s McMahon Hall. They serve Vietnamese sandwiches, salads, summer rolls and more. They say they’ll let us know about any special grand opening plans next week. We first wrote about them here.

Han Dynasty, a Sichuan restaurant that started in Philadelphia, is poised to open in the former home of Bocca di Bacco at 215 West 85th street. It could open by the end of April, reports the Philadelphia Business Journal. They’re planning to have 200 seats in the 5,000 square foot space. We first wrote about the restaurant here.

Risotteria is an insult to risotto. it is the worst garbage I have ever had.

Meh.
There are so many ways of making risotto. Risotteria’s rendition isn’t too bad given the price point and the labor constraints.

Risotteria was actually one of the first truly gluten-free restaurants in NYC that served delicious food. For those of us who are truly gluten-free it was a God-send and even my non-gluten free friends love it. I cannot wait for it to open a branch uptown!

Han Dynasty is THE BEST! What a terrific addition to the neighborhood-can’t wait for it to open. Their Spicy Cucumber dish is epic.

My husband eats at Han Dynasty in Philly fairly frequently, he really likes it and he is Chinese…although given the choice I think he’d rather head to Chinatown for something cheaper thst is equally or even more authentic w/o a wait.. I do think Han Dynasty will be a great addition here.
