obama restrictions

Everyone wants to be on the Upper West Side these days, from 310,000 climate marchers to El Presidente himself!

At around 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday, President Obama is expected to arrive around 90th street and Columbus Avenue or Central Park West for a fundraiser, several tipsters tell us after conferring with police. Barriers were up from 89th street to 92nd on Columbus and from 86th to 96th on CPW.

One tipster wrote: “its a total cluster at 90th and columbus. police/barricades everywhere. 90th btwn cpw and columbus closed #thistaxpayer gettin weary of it.”

Don’t worry, the traffic should be gone soon. Unless Obama decides to drop by his old apartment in the neighborhood.

The traffic has not dissipated at 6:28 p.m. My husband has been sitting on a crosstown bus on 79th Street almost two hours! This is really inconsiderate of the President, when the UN is in town and traffic is so congested anyway. What if emergency vehicles had to get through? And what about people trying to get home from work?

Was your husband being held against his will on that bus?

Very funny, Mike. The bus kept the doors closed when it was not at a stop — but it took an hour to get to one. They would not discharge passengers in the middle of the park.

Amazing that 6 years into this administration there are still true believers willing to shower this man with money at fundraisers.

      True believers?

What has happened in the past six years that would make moderate Democrats not want to donate money to the DNC?

What has happened in the last 6 years? How about the last 3 months? Addressing the public on the beheading by ISIS and then going golfing almost immediately afterwards? The world is crumbling and the president goes on vacation for an extended period? Yeah, I get it that congress was out and Bush took longer vacations, this doesn’t excuse the fact that the timing was incredibly poor. Saying that there is no strategy for how to handle ISIS? And then not saying we are actually at war with ISIS? Really? What is it then? Not giving Israel unconditional support during the Gaza problems? I was a true believer and voted for the man in the last two elections. Not anymore. Shouldn’t he be running the country and not running around trying to raise money? Won’t those very well connected donors give to the DNC regardless of having facetime or not with the President? The optics of hanging out with Jay-Z who’s lyrics glorify the thug life aren’t too great either. If the Republicans come up with a viable and moderate candidate who isn’t a nut job, they have my vote. I’m very disenchanted.

I’m sure everyone would be very pleased if the President just sat in the White House and “worked” 24 hours a day. That would solve the world’s problems.
You sound incredibly fickle. You must have BDB’s NYC.
