“Created within a six-year span (1979-85) when New York’s dance scene was especially vibrant and invigorating, the three works on the 2014 Juilliard Dances Repertory program (March 21-25) represent that thriving era’s bountiful creativity,” wrote Susan Reiter in the latest issue of The Juilliard Journal.

Juilliard Dances Repertory

March 21-25 in Juilliard’s Peter Jay Sharp Theater (155 W 65th Street, Street Level)

Juilliard’s annual repertory series of signature works by acclaimed choreographers includes Twyla Tharp’s finely calibrated classic Baker’s Dozen (1979), Lar Lubovitch’s Concerto Six Twenty-Two (1986), highlighting Mozart’s beautiful clarinet concerto performed live by the Juilliard Orchestra, and Eliot Feld’s energetic abstraction of folk dances, The Jig Is Up (1984).

Tickets $30 available at the Juilliard Box Office or online at www.juilliard.edu/dancesrep

Half-price senior/student tickets available at the Juilliard Box Office only.
