This week, there are lots more concerts going on at Juilliard, and all of the events listed below are free!

American Brass Quintet in Recital

Monday, October 14 at 8:00 PM, Paul Hall

Founded in 1960 and Juilliard’s resident brass ensemble since 1987, the ABQ has been hailed as “the high priests of brass” by Newsweek, and “positively breathtaking” by the New York Times. This concert features a world premiere by Sebastian Currier, and additional works by William Lovelock, Josquin Des Pres, Luca Marenzio, David Snow, and Giovanni Gabrieli. Part of the Daniel Saidenberg Faculty Recital Series.

Juilliard pianists and winners of the 2013 Gina Bachauer Piano Competition perform works by Schumann, Volodos, Liszt, and Bizet for WQXR’s broadcast of the 36th  annual McGraw-Hill Financial Young Artists Showcase hosted by Robert Sherman.
