News:
Trash overflowed from Riverside Park garbage cans after the Fourth of July celebrations, even though Riverside Park fund workers worke late into the night to pick it up. Still, heaping piles of it hadn’t been picked up as of yesterday, and it was attracting pests. No word from the parks department and when it might get picked up. The Moo Life Group, owner of the Sunburnt Calf on 79th Street, is going to focus more on offering gourmet food, although the Calf’s well-known endless (drunk) brunch will remain, a spokesperson tells us. Thanks to East Village blogger extraordinaire EV Grieve for the tip. Moo Life’s Bondi Road will be sold after its rent got hiked, and Sunburnt Cow will close for renovations. “[T]here will be some subtle changes at the Sunburnt Calf as well,” the spokesperson told us. “Brunch will remain the same, but as with the other Moo Life Group establishments, the emphasis won’t be so much on deals, the focus will be on providing their customers with a well-rounded dining experience.”
