A woman from Long Island who said she was sexually assaulted on the Upper West Side said the attacker wouldn’t have had anywhere to hide if not for a poorly lit construction site on West 75th Street. She’s suing the construction company. (NY Post)
Gary Richards, 48, was arrested on suspicion he reached into the window of Dive Bar on Amsterdam Avenue and swiped a flute and piccolo worth about $40,000 from a New York Philharmonic musician who was inside. They got the instruments back. “Watch Your Flutes!” musician Alexandra Sopp wrote on her Facebook page. (NY Post)
The city apparently can’t turn the lamps off in Riverside Park because they’re too old, meaning they stay on all day. (NY Press)
