James Harmon, the owner of an apartment building on 76th Street who tried to get the Supreme Court to overturn rent regulations, is considering selling the building. The Post chronicles his hardships as a landlord dealing with rent-stabilized tenants who “leech off” his family. The article doesn’t quote any of his tenants, one of whom declined to comment. The official subway map of New York puts Broadway on the wrong side of Amsterdam Avenue and West End Avenue at various places on the Upper West Side. “I’m more than embarrassed,” said John Tauranac, one of the mapmakers. (New York Times)
Two bloggers gave Fratelli La Bufala, the new Italian restaurant on 76th and Broadway, mixed reviews. Blogger my name is yeh loved the food, but hated the service. Forays of a Finance Foodie also praised the food, but said “a few kinks are still being ironed out.”
Advice to James: sell it! Take the money and run…it’ll never get better than now.
I was the first customer in the door when they opened on the 28th. My husband and I couldn’t wait! It’s about time we had authentic Italian pizza on the UWS. It was worth the wait. They need a few more lessons on service – for certain.
Agree – food at Fratelli La Bufala was very good (mozzarella was delicious) but service was off.
