It’s Earth Day weekend, and there are lots of ways to celebrate locally while we still have an earth.
On Saturday, there’s a very big electronics recycling event from noon to 5 at PS 87 on 77th and Amsterdam — so big, in fact, that it could set a new world record.
There are concerts for Earth Day at the Society for Ethical Culture and in Central Park that you can find on our calendar, and Central Park is hosting special tours on Sunday (Hallett and the Pond and The Ramble) to commemorate the day. There will also be a series of events in and around Harlem and Central Park for Harlem Earth Day on Sunday.
For more local events check out our calendar.
