A building on West 71st Street that is primarily used as an SRO sold for $19 million. Apartments in the building used to be used for short term rentals, but the building’s value declined after the state passed a law against using residential properties as vacation rentals. “The building, known to travelers as the Hotel Riverside Studios, was popular with European tourists who were used to the bathrooms in the hallways…” (The Real Deal)
