Shaun Simmons, an employee of the Duane Reade on 72nd Street is accused of leaving a cellphone in a toilet paper roll in the bathroom to record his fellow workers using the toilet. Police say he videotaped himself on the phone too, which kind of gave him away. (NY Post)
A man attempting to rob the Chase Bank on 72nd Street and Columbus Avenue jukmped into a cab to make his getaway only to have a dye bag explode in his face, police said. He stumbled out of the cab and ran away. Then again, maybe he isn’t so dumb. He apparently got away. (NY Post)
Upper West Sider Yair Rozmary bought a signed Jeremy Lin rookie card two weeks ago for $1,000 and just sold it on eBay for $21,580. (NY Times)
