Noise levels on much of the Upper West Side tends to hover within the same decibel range as midtown Manhattan traffic (70 to 85 decibels). Papasito Restaurant, the Mexican restaurant on Broadway and 105th Street, has not paid rent in two months, according to a resident who attended a co-op meeting at the building that houses the restaurant. Papasito has also been criticized for failing to control its loud, raucous crowds, and was denied a liquor license recommendation by Community Board 7. It has a couple of months to impress the board.
