December 22, 2011 Weather: Partly Cloudy, High of 55 Degrees.

Notices:
A woman lost a white Maltese named Lulu around 101st in Central Park yesterday.

News:
Noise levels on much of the Upper West Side tends to hover within the same decibel range as midtown Manhattan traffic (70 to 85 decibels). Among the louder sounds recorded by a reporter with a sound level meter was a garbage truck driving (105 decibels) and a Honda generator on a hot dog truck (104 decibels) (West Side Spirit)

Lady Gaga could afford to rent out the Plaza if she wanted, but she likes to sleep on an air mattress at her parent’s Upper West Side home when she’s in town. (Vanity Fair)

Are outdoor holiday markets polluting the air too much? (NY Times)

Papasito Restaurant, the Mexican restaurant on Broadway and 105th Street, has not paid rent in two months, according to a resident who attended a co-op meeting at the building that houses the restaurant. Papasito has also been criticized for failing to control its  loud, raucous crowds, and was denied a liquor license recommendation by Community Board 7. It has a couple of months to impress the board. (DNAinfo)
