Kevin and Roseanna Monk are suing Patti Labelle, claiming the famous singer assaulted them in the lobby of their Upper West Side building. The suit says that the couple’s 18-month old daughter suffered “personality changes, sleep disorder” and “increased fear of strangers,” after Labelle went on a tirade in the lobby of the building on Riverside Boulevard where the Monks and LaBelle both live. Roseanna had put her daughter down in the lobby to move some luggage as Labelle came into the building. The “Lady Marmalade” diva then went into a rampage, cursing and saying “aggressively” “You shouldn’t have left your daughter by the door,” Roseanna told the New York Post. She even shpritzed some water on the happy family. The Monks are telling the media that they simply want to teach the singer a lesson, not profit financially. (NY Post)
