News:
A construction worker at St. Paul the Apostle Church at 13 West 60th Street fell to his death on Thursday morning. He said the worker had been at the church for at least two years. (NY Post)

New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman halted all sales at the historic Apthorp on 79th Street in a settlement with the developers over contradictory statements he says they made about the loan on the building. He also fined them $190,000 and they will have to allow buyers who are in contract the opportunity to get their deposits back. Once Schneiderman gets the $190,000, the sales office can open up again. Please limit comments to 150 words and keep them civil and relevant to the article at hand. Comments are closed after six days. Our primary goal is to create a safe and respectful space where a broad spectrum of voices can be heard. We welcome diverse viewpoints and encourage readers to engage critically with one another’s ideas, but never at the expense of civility. Disagreement is expected—even encouraged—but it must be expressed with care and consideration. Comments that take cheap shots, escalate conflict, or veer into ideological warfare detract from the constructive spirit we aim to cultivate.
