Food trucks appear to be fleeing other less hospitable parts of the city and setting up shop on the Upper West Side, community board members said last night, and it’s about time we figured out just how many of them are here. So they plan to do a survey and try to weed out trucks that are competing directly with restaurants, as well as those spewing pollution in the air. Gale Brewer, as we reported earlier, wants to track food trucks with GPS. (DNAinfo)

Congressman Jerry Nadler, who represents most of the Upper West Side, has finally joined twitter. His first tweet yesterday was very…statesmanlike: “Happy to be on Twitter to continue the fight for jobs, equality, civil liberties, peace, and the values that make America exceptional.” Zzzzzz…That’s not why you join twitter, Congressman. Did you learn nothing from Anthony Weiner? Also, why are you not following West Side Rag, aside from the obvious reasons?
