October 3, 2011 Weather: Showers, High of 59 Degrees.

Notices:
We have a new list of events up for this week, including lots of films, music and readings.

News:
An apartment that artist Marcel Duchamp used to sublet at 33 West 67th Street is on the market for $4.75 million. He rented it from art collectors Walter and Louise Arensberg. “During these years, the Arensbergs’ apartment served almost nightly as a gathering place for artists, intellectuals, and writers. Through these intellectual exchanges emerged such important art movements and developments as New York Dada, the Society of Independent Artists, and The Others Group of poets.” (Curbed)

The lines just to get into the fitting rooms at the new Century 21 on 66th Street are already more than 20 people long at certain times. Bring a crossword puzzle! (Upper West Side Style)

A wacky 1,700-square-foot apartment in The Level Club is up for sale for $3.795 million. The apartment has bright pink and blue walls and the rooms have varying ceiling heights, from 14 feet to 6 feet. (NY Times)

Actress Edie Falco was among the people who attended a blessing for animals at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine this weekend. (DNAinfo)
