Machiavelli, a new Italian restaurant, is opening on 85th Street and Columbus Avenue on Friday. The restaurant is decorated with art inspired by “The Battle of San Romano” by 15th Century Florentine artist Paolo Uccello. The food will be simple Northern Italian food, including pasta, pizza and wine: “This is a neighborhood place after all so we have to have normal food,” said owner Nathalie de La Fontaine.
