The Hudson River has been looking very red recently (it’s usually kind of green). Reporter Corey Kilgannon looked into it and learned that it’s Hurricane Irene’s fault. The flooding upstate, it turns out, forced tons of sediment into the river, and the red dirt has been flowing down towards the city for the past week or so. (NY Times)
A lawsuit against Madonna brought by a neighbor at her former Central Park West apartment can move forward, a judge said. The neighbor accused Madonna of being an awful neighbor by practicing thumping dance moves all the time. The Material Girl’s spokesman said she was a “wonderful neighbor”. (NY Daily News)
