Notices:
The proposal to extend West End Avenue ‘s historic district from 70th to 79th Streets will get a public hearing today at about 1:45 p.m. in front of the Landmarks Preservation Commission at 1 Centre Street. (Landmark West)

Openings:
Winick Realty tells us that H&R Block is coming to 208 West 96th Street. It’s expected to open in late summer. For more openings and closings in the neighborhood, check out the big list we published yesterday.

News:
H&H Bagels on 80th Street is still open, although the store is quickly being dismantled and may not make it through the week. But as we found out last night, the company is already hoping to open at a new Upper West Side location.

The Rent Guidelines Board passed 3.75% increases for one-year leases and 7.25% for two-year leases (NYTimes)
