The Greenflea market, which is held in the playground on Columbus Avenue between 76th and 77th streets on Sundays, will be closed until August 4, because of construction in the playground.
“Due to a renovation project at the school, the market – both the indoor and outdoor sections – will not be open on 7/14, 7/21, and 7/28. We will return, same time and same place, open August 4. Sorry for the inconvenience but the kids come first! Have a question? – You can email us at greenflea@aol.com or leave a message at 212-239-3025.”
The farmer’s market on the West Side of the Museum of Natural History (78th to 81st) will be open, however.
Thanks to Ruth and Linda for the tips.

Seems like they could do the work during the week. These vendors rely on this to make a living. Bummer indeed.
The work will be done during the week. It is going to take the entire 3 weeks to finish the project. The entire yard is being painted/refurbished just as the PS87 one was earlier this year.
Maybe they can install some of the bumps removed from PS166’s ‘playground’
Isn’t this a schoolyard, more correctly, for IHS 44?
